  • The Duyue Bridge was built during the Heian period in the early 9th century and was rebuilt after being washed away by floods multiple times. The name of the Tsukishima Bridge is said to have originated from Emperor Kameyama of the Kamakura period, who, while enjoying the moon on a boat, praised the moon as if it was moving across the bridge. The Crossing Moon Bridge has appeared in the ukiyo-e works of artists such as Kagawa Hiroshige and Katsushika Hokusai, and has become the most representative landscape of Arashiyama. The famous Japanese singer Mayi Kuraki sang the song "Tsukibashi no Tsuyoshi" in the theatrical anime "Detective Conan: Tang Hong's Love Song", which is also located here. The current Tsukibashi was built of concrete in 1934. It is a bridge that can withstand the passage of vehicles and was constructed using traditional bridge building methods. However, in order to blend into the surrounding landscape, the railings are made of wood, making it a classic filming location for period dramas without any abrupt changes. The Du Yue Bridge seamlessly blends with the scenery of spring cherry blossoms, summer greenery, autumn maple leaves, winter snow, and the changing seasons. Whenever visitors come, there is always a constant stream of tourists holding cameras. [Note] This attraction is a free activity, please arrange your visit time reasonably for all VIPs~
